difference one year can make>>>>
This is a buck that we got trail cam pics from last year on 0ctober 10th. This is a pic of him on October 25th.
Last year we were guessing him to be high 140's to low 150's, This year gross score 167. It just shows that in one year they can put on quite a few inches.

Hate to burst your bubble and not that score means the most but that buck may make 140's but not 167[:-]
And for the difference from last year..he didnt gain much if any IMO.
Either way congrats on a great buck, I would be hitting the release too!!

Well I thought the same thing. I guessed him in the 150's last night when I shot him. I had him scored by my taxidermist, who has quite a few years under his belt, and I am looking at the paper right in front of me with it all filled out by him. I rough scored him at 169 this morning and he was scored by the taxi at 12:00, when he scored him at 167 1/8. Of course it has to go through the drying period before it can be official.
If you like, you could come take a look at the paper, or score him yourself. In fact, call Fowl First in North Platte Nebraska. Ask Nate(taxi) what Mitch's buck scored. So go burst your own flippin bubble.

Nice buck for sure. I'm not seeing a huge change from the trailcam pic to your harvest pic. But I have not doubt on the score. I shot a 153" ten point last year and yours has some taller tines that no doubt make up the difference.
Regardless of score though he's and awesome buck. People get to hung up on score IMO.

I completely agree. I honestly thought the deer was in the high 140's when he was 100 yards away. I had already decided to take him at that point. I'll never get another shot at one like him, or at least not for a long while. It just ticked me off that this guy was calling bull sh*t when I was worried about how off my gross score was, so I drove 50 miles to have him scored just in case as to not cheat on the bowhunting contest.
Sorry guys...doesnt matter anyways. I dont think even if Moses himself took a dump on me that it could get me down. Im just a happy bowhunter.

I can see quite a gain in the mass of the buck. It definitely looks a bit bigger to me, and for the guy doubting the score, realize he posted the GROSS score. Hey thats a heck of a buck.
