Its not a bad job to have, AF. My buddy was a Korean Crypto Linquist in the Marine Corps. Given the nature and specifics of his job, thats how he got linked up with MARSOC and became a Recon Marine. He spent alof of time in Korea over the past 5 years...He doesnt like it there.
My time in Korea was some of the best years of my life! I spent 5 years there and had the time of my life. Relay to your buddy that next time he is over there, get away from the GI towns and visit some of the real people. Yi Soon Sin's memorial is a great place to start. Or visit some of the villages along the Southwest corner of the country. I really liked the islands of Pogildo and Nowhado. It's amazing how different these people are than the ones who cater to the military.

I went to a Buddhist temple up along the DMZ on an island and saw a 5' tall statue of Buddha that was solid gold. The temple was like 600 years old and had survived the Japanese Occupation and the Korean war intact.

I could go on and on about what there is to see and do over there, but will stop here.

Okay, so I was dumb enough to read this. The only thought I have now is, someone should get a sack punch for false advertisement.
So, by reading this you discovered that you were dumb. Therefore, that makes you smarter, which means you need to sack punch yourself!
Damn that back fired!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you hate it when that happens. Kind of like trying to jump a barbed wire fence with friends around and only getting one leg successfully across.[:@]

AF Hunter,

My mom is Korean, but I never learned enough to speak fluently. All I can tell from your quote above is that you are talking about someones butt!

Nothing like Kimchee to warm you up after a cold sit in the treestand!

All I said was "You are a very intelligent arse!" (smart arse). For warming back up, have your mom make some kimchee cheegye (kimchee soup). Now that'll warm you up! Then if she's not too busy, some korean pancakes with that and you have a meal!
