First buck for my bud!

First buck for my bud!
Wellit was looing like it would be a wash here in NY this morning...and it was, but since my buddy came home from college to hunt this weekend we decided we better get out there and try it anyways.
Ive got a goodbuck stand up in the middle of this block of woods that seems to always produce a sighting of some sort, so I sent him up there, in the pouring rain..
I, however, in all of my wisdom, choose another spot that never produces. Its an old abondoned cabin in another set of woods accross the road. We have 100% permission to be over there, so I wasnt trespassing or anything. I took one of those fold out lawn chairs in there with me, propped my feet up on the window shelf and konked out. So im out cool as a cucumber and at around 8:00 i feel my phone buzzing, while im reading all my text's about Fran (quicksilver) forgetting his bow at his house and my otherhunting palscomplaining about the rain, my buddy accross the road says he hammered a 6 pt, I was pumped, startled, but pumped!
Apparently, unknown to me, it stopped raining a little after sun up, and the deer were moving hard. He seen 2 does about 150 yards off then next thing he knows this fella comes in behind him and stops dead at 17 yards. He thumps the buck and it runs in a 100 yard circle then comes back and drops 30 yards for his tree, deader then a smelt!
As the title says, this is his first bow kill (in 5 years of trying) i couldnt be happier!
Enjoy,
