Default A friend's 1st bow kill (pic)

Last month I wrote about a friend that had never picked up a bow, much less killed a deer. Well, I got him a loaner bow this summer and everything else you need to hunt w/. After lots of preparation and practice, he finally got his opportunity and made it count. After approx 15 sits on stand, he smoked this little 7 pt.
He calls me from his stand yesterday morning around 7:45 and tells me he just shot a buck. His voice sounded like a giddy little school girl...I'm lmao just thinking about it. As he's telling me the story, he keeps referring to his buck as "she"....lol. Of course, his last statement before we got off the phone was "now what do I do".
So I ended up late for work because I spent the morning skinning a deer. I didn't mind at all.
I gotta say guys...I was probably just as happy as him, if not more.
Today on his lunch break he ended up in the local archery shop looking for a new bow. His wife's gonna hate me.

Wow - good story. He will probably go right down and get a new $800 Hoyt Alphamax. Later the divorce proceedings will start . . . .

That's the spirit! Nothing like getting a new hunter involved. WTG!

That's a cool story and glad to see him succeed. There isn't a better feeling in the world to have someone else you know getem a deer
