Default Using Rage with shoot through windows

Has anyone shot a Rage out of a ground blind with shoot through mesh in the windows. It was raining out yesterday, so I sat in my girlfriends ground blind. About an hour into the hunt it hit me...will the blades deploy!?

These are my first mechanical broadheads.

Thanks

I put a small rubber band around the middle of the blades and they shoot thru mesh without opening.

So are you saying that without the rubberbands they will open when hitting the mesh?

I have wondered about this also since I often hunt from a blind.

I'd "think" they WOULD open without the bands. It doesn't take much.

I shot mine through a carton of juice and they never opened until it hit my target behind it. Never tried with the shoot through windows.

Everything I have learned and have been taught and read says DO NOT shoot mechanicals through the shoot through windows in a ground blind. Fixed blades can be but not mechnicals.

Guess I will stick with my Muzzy heads for now. I love them, but I have been very impressed with the pics of the Rage wounds.
