Well... the bad news is, I went out last night and didn't find anything but did spook all of the other deer completely off the property.
I got up at 6:30 this morning, and searched for over an hour. Can't find any blood anywhere. Went to the last spot I saw the deer, which is about 300 yards away from my stand, got on my hands and knees, and found the deers tracks... but no blood anywhere.
If I hadn't seen the arrow in the deer myself, I would probably have convinced myself it was a miss.
So, I ended up having to come to work this morning and don't have any more time to search right now.
This is a terrible feeling to have. I have never lost a deer.
