Rob, great video and camara work! Ben good job on sticking to your guns. When I started bowhunting, I drove my buddies nuts because I would pass smaller bucks to let them grow, but when I finally took my first buck, it meant that much more because I had waited. Good luck to you this year bud, hope you get that buck you are lookin for!!!

I have passed up on a bunch of buck in my hunting career. My golden rule.....if the deer did not get my heart racing, I would not shoot. So, big or small buck that is the rule I stick with. If I even once ask....should I shoot this one....it means no to me.
The buck you take will be your trophy regardless of size. Great video and keep after them!

Thanks for the kind words guys. My friends all give me stuff about passing on deer like that one there. What the difference between them and I is, that I spend 10 times the amount of time in the woods as them. I know the land I am hunting holds bigger deer. I owe it to the deer that I choose to take to be proud of it and not just say "well, I got my buck this year." If it means tag soup, then it means tag soup. I had an "honest pass" on a 7 last year who was wider than this guy. I wasn't upset at the end of the season and I won't be this year. I have no problem with anyone shooting this buck. In fact, if he had been by last night and taken the same path, he might have been as we were tag teaming the field last night and he passed by the stand that my other buddy wasthe night before.
I am about to leave work and head for home to meet with Rob for our trip to York. Good luck to all this weekend and stay safe.
Sidenote: I did have a Ameristep harness on under my No Scent Fleece. I advocate safety in the tree to all.

Good work on the pass Ben. First one is tough to pass, but hopefully it pays off in a couple weeks when the big boys are more apt to be strolling around. Good work with the camera too Rob!
