Thanks everyone!!! I really appreciate the compliments. Now, the fun part awaits.

ORIGINAL: Finch

Guess what I'm getting ready to go buy? LOL
A new fletching jig?

Congrats Finchy, sounds like a heck of an exciting morning. Deer, dogs, parts flying off your arrows, getting to shoot a couple times.......LOL
Did you check his heart? Looks like you probably got part of it on the way by and he probably didn't need the Coup de Butt after all.

Haha, very funny. I got a bitz...maybe its an operator error.[:@]

I did check his heart. I believe I hit JUST below it. That's what I get for aiming at the heart. I usually aim to center-punch the lungs. Looking back, I didn't need to shoot again. Man, I felt really bad when I saw that arrow hit his hind quarter. He had bigger problems though.

Congrats Donnie!!! Great buck and wild story .....but i guess, wild is how you roll .......or so go the rumors.....
Don't believe everything you hear Tony. Well, everything but that.[8D]

Congrats on the buck! He's a nice one. Sounds like you were covered with deer. Is that pretty common having dogs running deer around you? Seems like it didnt spook them too bad.
No, I usually don't have that problem. I guess enough time had passed so it didn't matter. There is a chained up dog on the property that borders this property. He barks and howls all the time. Maybe they're used to it?[&:]
