Patty,your whitetail head will work just fine in most cases, which do you presently use?

Keep it simple.. A goos sharp Fixed blade broadhead should work just fine.

I have several different broadheads. They are all 100 gr. Muzzy, Grim Reaper,Montec, etc. I wasn't sure if I needed to up the gr.?

You'll be fine... just put it in the boiler room.

I helped field-dress a huge cow that was taken on opening morning with a 100-grain Rage... busted through two ribs on the way in and lodged in the off-side shoulder. She was down for the count in mere seconds.

Thanks a bunch. I didn't want to get in the woods & get a shot & it not be enough impact to take the elk down on the first shot. I hate to make an animal suffer by wounding it.
