Default need advice

Hello everyone, I live in Southern MN and am not from here. For now all I have to hunt is WMA's around me. My question is most of the land isn't that big in acreage even though the one I might try hunting is 300 acr, but they all are mostly emergant wetlands with some trees on them. I grew up hunting in WI and had lats of acreaged woods to hunt in. Ok how do I hunt these types of lands? You have to go through open ground to get to the woods and I'm affraid of scaring the deer off just getting to a tree! I have a ground blind, but don't want that stollen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you get there early enough you should be fine. I only have two spots I bow hunt on, a 12 acre spot and a 35 acre spot, that's it and I get deer every year. So if you have 300 to work with I'm sure if you did some scouting around you can find that sweet spot. GL.
