Default The Curse Continues.

Well, after 5 hunts now, I still havent seen any deer..... I had my hopes up after red-tag hunting, But still havent seen a single deer. I dont know what the problem is, They must not like my camo[:-] Maybe I need to invest in a whole suit of Ultimate?? I have no clue, havent seen anything so I havent been busted Either.. Maybe Their seeing me and being like "Dont go over there, He'll shoot anything if its got backstraps....." Hard to say, Even though I am holding out for one particular Guy and Gal.... Any Suggestions, Im fixin to go to my evening spot, So I'll check this after I get back...

Good Luck to everyone, and shoot a big one!!

Ryan.

Is there deer sign? You have to think about how you hunt:
1. Do I stink.
2. Am I bumping deer while walking in.
3. Do I move alot on stand.
4. Is my stand hidden well or am I skylined.
5. Mybe the deer are feeding on something else in a differant area. Go find them.

Patience young grasshopper. It is frustrating, but with time, things will change. Keep your head up. I can remember going an entire bow season without seeing a single deer. The season starts here on the last weekend of Sept. Gun season startsonthe last weekend of Oct. Lucky we can hunt with bows through alldeer seasons. I did not see, much less shoot a deer that season until Dec. I ended up tagging two does one day in Dec., and the next weekend, tagged a nice buck.

It appears to me that the deer just dont happen to be there when you are there. They could be feeding at night, which is not uncommon. Or just happen to be else where while your on stand. I dont think you have been getting busted, because if that is the case, you usually hear a mature doe snort wheeze at you, or at least stomp.

1) Is the wind in your favor?
2) Food source nearby?
3) Any trails or sign near?
4)Are you using any scents or calling?
5) Have you seen deer there earlier this year?

Same here, I've only been skunked for a full day a couple times in my 8 years.
Hell, this season I've seen 32-35 deer in 4 sits this season. I only have about 10 hours in stand so far.
Good luck guys, keep on keepin on!
