Chasing elk
We just spent the last three days chasing elk with our video camera's. What an absolute blast.I was up at my friends cabin in Clearfield County and the main reason he goes up this time of year is for theelk. We have more and bigger bucks down home. I agreed that we have have a lot of time back home to hunt deerand choose to stalk andshoot elk with our camera's. We Had more screamingelkaround us than we could have everimagined. Many within bow range and some at less than twenty yards. We alsosaw more turkeys than we could even count. We video taped deer including a group of six bucks that had two shooters in it. We did go back later in the day with our bows and set up on a small pond where we saw them but they didn't show. The elk did though. We even got footage of one of two coyote's we saw.Monday mourning we got back inthe elk. We also put a stalk on asmall basket racksix point and doe. We decided to pass on the buck. My friend had a doe tag and closed the distance towhat he thought was forty yards and shot under her. What an incredible time. Ken
