I left my first buck for a couple of hours afterward before I gutted it Monday night and all was good. I wanted to get nice photos as GMMAT said and show friends and neighbors before it became a big mess on the driveway. It was warm Monday night here and all was fine. I did ice the meat down though overnight in the garage before bringing to the processor in the morning.
