All I can go by is what my cuz said. I would think its true, as I said, he got that info from a game warden friend.
There are a couple of units very close to Montrose. I worded that responsepoorly also. I have been hunting in unit 61 for a long time (over14 years) andI have never seen anything much over 300". That doesn't mean they can't be there, just means it would surprise me is all. But, I am surprised just about every day anymore

I'm thinking along the lines of huntingson... if it was in unit 62, it was only because he was driven out of 61! [8D]

Congrats to the hunter for sure, though... needless to say, an elk of many lifetimes.
