AWESOME!!!! congrats to you both!!! thats just awesome....thats a dang young start in bowhunting and sounds like he is WELL on his way!!! congrats!!! and good job to you for the teaching!!!
i'll never forget my first turkey kill...dad taught me to hunt ever since i could walk..literally...i never fired a round while turkey hunting with him...had birds in yearly..just never got a shot...first time i went out alone...first monday of the season i was finally 16(legal age to hunt alone) asked if i could skip school...dad agreed...we always had an agreement i could miss here and there to hunt if i did my work and kept the grades up..and i always did...i went out down the road...scouted there 2 years in a row prior each spring alone....carried my first longbeard out of the holler that day..woke dad up after he worked a midnite(thats a NO NO in my house unless the house is on fire lol) he woke up jumped outta bed and shuffled down the steps like a kid on Christmas...GET THE CAMERA!!! GREAT JOB!!! NICE BIRD!!! but the thing i'll never forget was him telling me he was proud of me and glad to see his teaching alllll those years paid off....we are always teasing eachother about how i "turned out" now that im 21....hunting always on the brain...hunting every minute i can no matter what the season...

by the way, you going to ripley this year? we're going the 2nd hunt. i'm still hoping to see one like the MONSTER you got out there a few years back.
