ORIGINAL: GMMAT

I gotta tell ya....I'm a clean slate when it comes to stuff like this (and I know about scent checking during the rut.....but I had to ask 'what for'....in Sept)......so I'd sit in there in a minute if it sounds like a good idea. Now I just gotta get in there. I have no idea how I'm gonna be able to do that.....lol. I can really only enter down the road....from the N.

It's a pretty small woodlot, though....maybe 4-5 acres....and partially fenced.

You think it's worth a go?
More so during the rut, but it would be a good prospect sit to determine trails (fence line most likely) and find a good tree to set up in. I have a peice of property that is almost Identical to this, 5 acres and partially fenced. I am not going in their until Oct. 31st week (not allowed until then) but they should use it just the same as this.

Matt I took it as he was talking to me.

Jeff look at this altered version of your map.........I would look to the secluded bean fields, the red arrows are how I can picture deer leaving.

If that squiggly line I see that I highlighted in blue is a creek of somesort, slip down it below those bean fields, find the heaviest looking crossing (fresh tracks etc) and set up just on either side of it. I'd probably stay to the N side of it because I know where the deer MIGHT cross, once they GET ACROSS they could go anywhere. Might be looking for a quick drink on the way back to bed too.......

I like Matt's idea for entry and picking a stand site. Quiet, quick, and it's a little scouting mission built in. Nice job Matt!
