Made it back early
I had to leave my trip from Vinalhaven early because of the storms heading our way. It was a great trip though I never got a deer. I had a chance to but blew it! The trip over was a nice ride out on the ferry as it was a calm and sunny day out there. I packed it up and left early this morning. ThoughI had not been over there except for 1/2 a day before this trip, I was able to see 18 deer in all. Most of them saw me first as the leaves on the trees provided them with just enough cover to escape my view in time. I will try to get a few picks up of the trip and cabinI was staying at. It was surely a nice place to stay at. The wife decided to come out andspend thelast night out there with me. She was quite suprized with the cabin and all thatI could show her while she was there.ThoughI did not hunt around the cabins.I sure wish I did!! BecauseasI was packing up to leave this morning, I could here a few deer walking by just out of sight. As I was getting ready to board the ferry for the ride back to the mainland I called the cabin owners up and told them to keep the rentI had paid for the extra night as a tip. The ride back on the ferry was quite rough as the water was already sturring up ahead of the storm that was coming in. I am gladI was able to get out of there early as I am sure the water was going to getrougher as the day wears on. I had to get in line at 5 am to get the ferry out as others were turned back and hoped that they can get out of there tommorrow. There is a good chance that the ferry survice will be shutdown for about three days if the storm hits as hard as they are thinking it will. Anyways, I will try to get some pics up in the morning..

Thanks Sliverflicker, it was a great time out there and I had a chance to meet some nice people as well.. I did have some pics up from there but, have decided to withdraw them as a lot have check this thread out but nothing to say.. I am done posting in this thread take care..
