Yep, definitely Navy. 24 and a half years worth. I finally retired on April 30th of this year. Somehow, the HNI name seemed appropriate, since I was "Chief Little" for 9 years.

I thought so. MM2(SS) myself, got out in '95. Did most of my time west coast, last 3 yearsout in Pearl. It was tough, but someone had to do it. Did an ice run and a UNITAS on a 637 fast attack.

LOL! Yeah, Pearl Harbor is really tough.[>:] You can keep the UNITAS cruise! I'd take a good WESTPAC over that anyday!

Yeah, that UNITAS pretty much sucked. Nuke boat pretending to be a deisel boat bites when you are in an undermanned mechanic division. Port and starboard watches, then firing up that Fairbanks-Morse on your off watch so the gomers can find you and practice shooting at you.[:'(] Fire it up, run it, and shut down fast as you go deep. Wonderful on equipment and cranky mechanics.
