My Drenalin breaks the ice
Hunted this weekend and had a doe, a fawn, and two small bucks come right by my stand. The last buck busted me almost, but wasn't quite sure what I was. He never got comfortable, but the other deer didn't care too much about his suspicions. They continued to feed all around me.
I was after the mature doe and she offered me a quartering in shot so I shot a little back on her looking for an angle that would hit her lungs. The hit looked a little further back than I wanted, but the shuttle T broadhead put a very nice hole in her. I waited for a while and then started tracking. I saw great blood and the last blood I saw looked like it was spraying.
I felt pretty good about it but the blood ran out. After 15 more minutes of scouring the nearby woods I heard some rambling that was too loud for a squirrel to make. Sure enough it was her giving one last kick. I went back to get my bow thinking I was going to have to finish her off, but when I returned she had expired.
Feels good to finally break the ice. The Drenalin is shooting very smooth. The pic shows the exit wound.
