Private land elk are always easier than public land.

Wow! And really, that 500 foot rule applies to bows too in some states? Not Minnesota. Would screw up two of my spots if I didn't already know the neighboring landowners and have permission to hunt their land as well. Being able to be away from the gun hunters in spots like this during gun season can be a real advantage.
