My first came in my second season. I had set up facing what I "thought" was their bedding area (I was partially right)....and had a good wind. I took this deer when a bunch of them appeared from straight downwind (behind me)....as it was feeding on acorns with the others.
September 30, 2006....and I remember each detail as if it were yesterday. He didn't score all that well....but I cared nothing about that at the moment. A solid little seven-pointer.....and a great first deer. I have his skull mount on my wall.
