don't look at the antlers or body for age!! both can be affected for good or bad by drought,flood,deer population density or any one of many factors.judge deer age the same way you judge people age, by the face!! this deer is definitely 2 1/2 or older! looking at the third photo with the straight on face shot,I see a very dark face and nose bridge area as well as a gaunt thin look,NOT a young deer!maybe i'm goofy,but that's how i judge 'em. if he looks like an old man........

I'm saying who really knows??? Give him 2 more years and see. ha ha then he'd be ether 3.5 or 4.5 nether of you can prove it so why fight about it?
All I know is if I see that around my area and a blacktail he's dead. ha

I put him at 85”. He certainly won’t break 90”.
As for his age, these type of bucks are tough in my area.(PA) I believe an early born buck at 1.5 could hit this size. BUT again I think a late born buck that may only be a small spike/forkie his first year could also only be this big as a 2.5 yr old.
Location would help, but its certainly not a shooter in most circles regardless of age.
