I've been trying to NOT buy one of these things and I've been successful to this point. Diesel PM's me and tells me to make sure I bring mine down east for our hunt Saturday. Says the skeetrs are DC-10 sized, there.

I cover up from head to toe....except for a small area around my eyes. Do I REALLY need one.....for a one-day hunt?

I hate these things.....and I've never used one....lol. To me it's just something else to carry in.

If you were me....would you bother with one for a one day hunt? I WILL NOT use one, here. Any learning curve on how to use one? Easily figured out in a few minutes?

Yes, they are worth their weight in gold. I did not buy one until this year and would have needed a transfusion after leaving Maine if I didn't have one. They are awesome.

Where are you guys hunting on Saturday?

We're hunting Bertie County.....near our coast (NC). He's afraid with all the Hannah rain that the skeeters are planning a billion skeeter march.

For one day & you'll be covered to your eyes...no big dealto go without.

My take is that yea they are nice, and work when its dead calm. But throw a breeze in the mix & all bets are off.

GMMAT.....If you can tie your own shoes, that's about how easy it is to use. And worth it, as advertised...I was a skeptic as well.

If it's that bad you'll be glad to have it even if for only one day. I hunted down in Florida right after a hurricane once and thought I was going to get carried away there were so many around. It is $30 well spent.

supposedly they are odorless but if i can smell it, obviously a deer can. I used one several times last year and it did work like a charm
