Default Antler/winter coat watch

So lets hear it, where have they changed and where not? Our bucks are still in velvet, and all the deer are just starting to change over to winter coats. They are mainly still in red and not grey. Coats looking shabby as they are starting to change. Oh yeah, this is TX Panhandle, about the lower edge of Oklahoma.

PA, I’m seeing 90% hard horn. Almost all are brown coats. A few fawns still in red.

Mine are all out of velvet and have their winter coats on.

These are some of the bucks I've seen this summer. This is the first I've seen the big 9, he eluded my camera all summer. I've also got 4 other bucks that I've seen on camera throughout the summer. I just posted this this morning...

Right now in MB all deer are in transition. Last night I saw 20 deer. 5 were bucks and only one was out of velvet. Coats are the same story. Some are still in all red and some are blotchy. Not much longer and they will be ready for winter and the rut.

Bucks are almost finished up shedding .. the two bucks I saw 2 nights ago both had shed and I couldnt tell with the coat because they had walked out west of me in the sunset. By next week they should be in winter coat, its been getting down to the mid 30's here some evenings.

The last time I checked my cameras 2 weeks ago I had a couple of bucks that were hard horned and most were in their fall grey/brown coats or in the process of shedding their summer coats. The little ones and some does are still red.
