I don't know that I would spend any money on a deer I found dead. That is just me. I would boil it and clean it up a bit and then hang in the garage on in my workshop. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
x2 Boil it, bleach it, and hang it up somewhere. Save the cash and still have something cool to remember the experience.

I can't think of any reason why to mount a deer that you just found dead???

Would this be a trophy to you???
I guess it will be up to you as far as what to do.

I havea cardboard box in my garage full of sheds I have found over the years and I like to look at them once in a while...but my wall is reserved for my kills.

I say set a goal toget a buck with your bow this year and mount that...it will mean much more to you regardless of it's size.

I found a small buck, and use his antlers for rattling now, but if it has some size, do a nice boil and bleaching,,and just put in marker on the side when you found it,, memories man,, nothing more.. enjoy your find..where are the pics?

I agree unless it was a monster 10+point. I would just use the antlers for natural rattles, but that's just me.

Nice find Tim.
You could just do an antler mount. Might be a nice reminder of the great day you spent in the woods with your dad.
