Just to clear things up, I am talking about deer on land. And trespassing wouldn't be an issue where I hunt due to it all being federal property, the water and land. I would love to slip by the banks an hour before dark, sitting in the bushes and arrow a deer...that is right up my alley!

Rob, I have two spots like this set-up this year and plan on slipping in behind them early in the morning. Using my kayak will save me over a 1/2 mile of walking on crunchy leaves and making noise---sillent approach.

How does that differ from bow-fishing ?
I feel it's likely a safety issue for the hunter and passengers in the craft.
Bow fishing is MUCH safer than hunting for biggame in a boat, IMO.
