During the hutning season- never before a hunt.

Coffee returns some of the most potent bodily excreted odors of any beverage.

Odors are excreted through pores and mouth alike. Not to mention that coffee(caffeine) increases heart rate, metabolic rate, respitory rate and blood flow. Therefore, drinking coffee is not a wise action for the sccent conscience hunter. High doses of coffee will exagerate the metabolic and respitory rate increase which will lead to heavilyincreased perspiration(sweating=scent).

The joe is a not go for me.
Real men drink coffee. DT ....marine or no .......[8D]

During my first year of hunting last year when we were in one of our double tree stands, we (me and my BF) would take a thermos of coffee...and share the cup! Helped keep me warm...and also was a little romantic.

Hopefully, it didn't make a difference in the number of deer we saw.

WARNING ..According to the surgeon general coffee can give bowhunters the dreaded shakes, movement in stand, excessive urination and unneeded odors.

So there i was, november 25th 2007. Cold ass morning for NY, prolly around -10. Im sitting in my tree lounge nice and toasty, sweating from the long walk in. The steam was rolling off me like smoke off a fire. Then i cracked into my thermos of scalding hot coffee. By now there was so much steam i couldnt see past my shooting range.I couldnt have been more comfy if i was sitting in a lazy boy. Sat there for about 5 hours, didnt see a damn thing. Best hunt i had all year.

I have to have my coffee. I drink a cup on the drive out to my hunting location. I know it probably sounds stupid but drink hazelnut coffee on days when I hunt. For some reason I have it stuck in my head that the hazlenut smell would be less threatening to a deer.

Also...coffee makes one sweat like a race horse as it raises your blood pressure.
it also depleats the calcium in your bones..

Coffee is not good for archers in my opinion

stick with Donald Duck Orange Juice.
