Hoyt...On a tree like that, if you really want to climb, add 3-4 screw in steps and adjust the climber higher up the tree, use the steps to climb in...Poplars are great soft trees for a climber...

My problem is tha the tree gets smaller as it goe up. My stand hooks fine for the first 10 ft, and by the time I reach my climbing distance the tree is too small and my bottom platform slopes down to the ground. I need bigger thicker trees!
