Assuming your on public land and its legal to put it out now:
ThenI'd put it up tomorrow. That will give the deer time to get used to it AND stake out your claim to that spot so that other hunters won't beat you to it.
There's nothing worse than having a spot in mind and finding somebody else has already put a stand there. Seems like every time I find a spot that looks good, I look up and there's already a stand there...[:@]

i can not set untill the 1st of sept.
I found a stand about 75 yard north but it looks real old and homemade and i think it was left from last year they used rope to tie it to the tree.
And it is not legal to leave them untill after sept 1 and they must be removed by like feb 1
