I hope to fill all three of my doe tags this year. If I could get at least one with trad gear, well, that would be SWEEEEEEET!

This will be my first year hunting(I'm 44), so my goal is to make a kill...any kill. If it has meat on it's bones, I will attempt to take it down to get some yummy venison in the freezer. After the first kill I suspect I might get slightly more particular, but my goal is meat not external bone structures.

Welcome sniggle! I started bowhunting at 44 after taking over 20 years off from hunting. GOOD LUCK!

I'd like to seeIdaho offer an additional doe tag up here in some areas where the does are more populated, in and around towns, cities etc.. Be nice. Most here hold out for a buck because we only get one regular deer tag and have to pay 258.00 for a second buck tag (non resident left overs) So a max of two deer tags a season if you're willing to pay the $ and they dont run out ..

I get to go on my first ever doe hunt this winter in Montana.. I can not wait, I mean it I am really looking forward to hunting a montana river bottom in Jan.. with a good bud.. gonna be great..

I enjoy shooting deer. Period.
If I see a doe and i have a tag, unless there is a buck behind her, she is getting it.

I'll shoot a doe AFTER the rut if I haven't filled my buck tag.

I only need one deer to eat.

I plan on taking a few does this year...

When I hunt does, I dont expect to see any shooter bucks (location, location, location) so then its thefirst mature, broadside shot under 15yrds.

Early season. Not a Buck hangout. Not a rut stand. Broadside or Quartering away.

Mid-season. Try to leave them alone (this year).

Late Season. Only if I have not got any meat yet or it is like the last week and noBuck sightings.(this year)
