Either, but if I can get the angle sitting and I am already sitting thats whatI do, less movement prior to the shot is always better.

Tim:

I like to wear my harness under my camo, but if you're worried about the above.....your harness can be used to cinch in your outer wear.

just a thought.

Like most, I prefer standing. I do some practice from the sitting and I'll take it if there is no opportunity to stand.

Shoot from your seat and you'll be good.

ya when i figure out what chair i will use for blind hunting i plan to do alot of shooting from it and the blind

Bigtim,
I hunt from the ground exclusively and most of the time it is out of a blind. Find a camp style, foldingchair with no arms on it. It should have a large seat with a comfortable back so you can spend endless hours out there but make sure it has no arms.
Once you find the chair practice shooting from it. You will see that it is important that yoube aware of where your legs are so you can keep them away from the bottom limb on your bow (ouch!!!!).
If you are a right handed shooter it will be best tosituate the chair facing to the right of your most likely shooting lane. It is much easier to shoot a bow moving to your left of center than to your right.
Finally practice this out of your blind with the screens up. You will want to see how easy or difficult it is in your particular blind to draw the bow without having to stick any part of the bow or arrow out of the window. To make this easier place your chair in a position farthest back from the front windows without having your right elbow hitting the back of the blind.
Good luck and good hunting
Dan

Some of you might find this to be a stupid question but any way.

Let say your using a ladder stand
When you take a shot on a deer. do you take the shot sitting or standing.

Last year on both the deer i missed i was sitting i wonder if that might have played part into the misses.

what do you do in a climber or a ground blind
Always practice the shot you expect to take!!
I personaly practice from some awkward positions, for instance-on my knees facing the opposite direction, then turn around 180 degrees and shoot from 60 yards.
Practice all the scinarios you can immagine.
