MO is not technically a one buck state, but it is one buck before rifle season. About 4 years ago, first afternoon in stand, I think the third day of the season, I shot a doe 20 minutes after getting settled, missed a gobbler 10 minutes after that, and then an hour and a half later shot a 10 pt that scored 124 and change.

They past two years i tagged out the third and second day of season. Fortunately for me I still got to spend a lot of time in the tree videoing some of my friends and was back in the tree come rifle season.

It does kind of suck for one deer, but the great thing in Or. is we have Black bear, Elk, Turkey, and Up land birds, and ducks. So you could hunt lots of stuff but only one of the bigger things.
But the season with only a chance at one deer I pass some of them up for later. I like just being in the woods so yeah I try to make it last.
That would be sweet to take more than one.

a couple years ago I shot my buck like the first week of Oct. He wasnt a huge buck by any means but he was pretty decent and standing 9 yds. away for about 5 minutes while I thought it over. I put the smackdown on him and he went 30 yds.
