Default Now that was a suprise...my 10 seconds of fame

My wife, knowing of my love to hunt and fish in the west (haven't fished yet, but talk about it alot) so for Christmas she got me a subscription to Rocky Mountain Game & Fish. I just received the September 2008 Edition and while waiting for a friend started to flip thru the elk & mule deer articles (OK, I was looking at the pics) for a good one to read later on.

So on Pg33, was an article on New Mexico's state record elk that scored 441 3/8...flip a few pages more to pg 36 and an article titled "Colorado OTC Elk"...basically saying that if you didn't draw a tag, don't worry, Colorado is the place to be hunting....so then I flip the page, and low and behold yours truely has a pic of the bull I took in Unit 65 last September within the article...

Anyway, not sure how many of you get it, but thought it was kinda cool.

Wow, awesome!
I had this picture put in the back of a Missouri magazine! (Missouri Game and Fish). I was PUMPED!! thanks Dad!
I've also been in the newspaper more times than I can count for baseball and hunting, and one time fishing down in Florida! (once again thanks Dad)

that's neat. Congrats!

I got my name, etc. in a couple magazines years ago when I killed this buck. He had an antler piece from a fight rammed into the roof of his mouth. I heard a loud noise minutes before I shot him and I am betting that is when it happened.

That's wild !!!

I noticed that the captions in the magazine are mostly regular joe's with some good to trophy like animals...
