My release is not to long. Acually I thought it was to short. It probably looked like that because I didn't have it strapped on as tight as it can go.
I have two releases, im not exactly sure about the sizes butI think one is a small and the other is a large.
I use to shoot with the large when I read that shorter releases will make your groups tighter. I tried it and I got a split arrow.
But any way.

If Iwould shorten it it would make the tube tighter... which means more loop in the string.
im not sure by shorten you mean shorten the tube so its not as long and it makes it tighter or loosen up the tube a bit so its longer.
And I dont think its the tube. I just got a new truglo brite peep site a couple nights ago and It is made differantly and it pushes against like that.
Im going up to scheels tuesday to get my bow restrung and get some new arrows. Ill see what they can do with the loop in it and the tube.

The peepsite requires a tube and im already addicted to it. I can acually see when it starts getting darker out. Before with the just the typical round peep site I couldn't see at all.

I believe he meant to say the tubing was too short.I believe it was a typo.
That release still looks long,even the short one,here is mine.Of course,mine is really short.[8D]

Good Shooting! You are well on your way. Take these guys advice...they know a thing or two about proper form. Don't be afraid to ask questions....and have fun with it!
