4 Weeks to go !!
Hard to believe, but getting into the final stretch to my elk hunting trip to Colorado.
The season starts in two weeks, so for some of you, your trip is closer than mine.
Been doing some running, shooting and cleaning up the huntin' gear to pack....I know I am not the only one pumped up for hunting season

I have an archery elk landowner voucher that is good for the whole month of Sept. near the Leadville area( unit48). If yall were going to pick 1 week ,what part of the month would you choose. Bear in mind that the muzzleloader season overlaps part of the archery (Sept. 13-21)

Leadville is a nice area, with higher elavation and steep terrain. I would prefer the later part of the season, and depends on the landower giving access, but wouldn't be afraid of the muzzleloader week or the week after..just depends on access for others.
I have a friend who hunts there and has done well in the years.
Good Luck
