Default Have you NOT been able to stop a deer for a shot?

Ihave a stand, roughly 14 ft up in a tree that is on a hot trail to specific bedding area. If they are spooked, they will run one of two trails out, and mine is on one. Is it impossible to put a deer at a stop when spooked or on the run? I couldnt hit a moving target to save my life, and wouldnt take one.

Im just curious if anyone has had an opportunity at a nice deer.but couldnt get it to stop for a shot.

Yelling, cursing, farting, burping.....anything work in particular?

my dad had this happen last year, a buck came running by chasing a doe and my dad started mouth grunting to stop the buck and the buck kept running, finally my dad started yelling at the tops of his lungs to stop the buck and that worked, he then smoked the 17 point, 166" monster .

Yes, 2 bucks that were on a hot doe. I didn't go as far as to yell, but was grunting as loud as I could. The third buck in line did stop though.

I have never been able to stop an animal that was spooked. They just run faster!
