I would assume that the blades are kept heated somehow during the winter to prevent ice build up. Because ice flying from the blades would probably be a bad deal. But that is a guess 100% since i know nothing about the windmills. I just hope my area gets them sooner or later(only because of the money i have invested in their stocks).

Windmills are a blessing IMO. They put a bunch up where I live. They might move the deer around when they put them up but I dont think the windmills themselves would spook them. Also they make gravel roads out into the fieldsto service the windmills whichare VERY nice for driving on when the fields are wet. Also they are good wind indicators.

i bet they will get used to it. I went hunting with a guy one time that had a stand really close to an oil well and I saw quitea few deer that morning. They didnt pay a bit of attention to it.

It looks like they will be building this windmill through my entire hunting season [:@]I have the hottest spot on the property too ..... or should I say, HAD?[&o]they won't be done with the deal until the end of January .....
