Send an Email to this address [email protected] and ask if you can talk to Matt Cleland. He runs the archery department at Cleland's Outdoors in Swanton Ohio and was on the Olympic archery team from 1996-2001 and won the national Archery championship in 1998. If you can get a hold of him he should be able to point you in the right direction for achieving your goal. He is a pretty busy guy though, but maybe someone else there could help you out, almost everyone in that place is some sort of award winning competitive shooter.

Your are going to have to know what event you want in as well, I beleive there are several archery events in the olympic games.

You are probably going to have to start competing on local, then national level (and win) in order to get recognized I would think. Just being good won't be good enough, everyone has to know your good and that will not happen without traveling and competing in as many events as you can.

Good luck, let us know what Matt says. I have actually shot with him before, he is a nice guy.

You might like to know there are no compounds in the olympics, they are all recurve shooters and it is a different discipline.
