RE: Why the need for new bows?
Like I said....BECAUSE I CAN.....cost has nothing to do with it.You ask WHY and my reply was BECAUSE I can .....Granted I hold on to my compoundbow(s)for about 3 seasons then I upgrade. It has nothing to do with cost but the amount of arrows shot thru the bow, rather then time and money put into a worn bow I will just buy a new bow and trade mine in....This will be my 3rd season with my Drenlin and yep you guessed it,when I get back from my Muly and Goat hunt and the09's come out I will be looking,I might not buy a Mathews but you never know,if another bow fits melike a glove and shoots well I willget it.......But thats just me.....and I will still be wearing 14.00 jeans,8.00T and 12.00 shoes.

The whole purpose of this post was to see the main reason you replace your bows and how often. I dont care how much you spend on anything becuase I know your still not going to shoot as good as me.

I usally don't get a new bow every year. But I usually get another bow. [&:]
To tell you the truth, I don't think I will ever get another new bow. Maybe make one though.

I bought a PSE SR1000 and shot it for 7 or 8 years. I gave it to someone online who didn't have the money but wanted to get his dad into bowhunting.

RE: Why the need for new bows?
I buy a new one every 5 years or so, provided I have the $$$. I think that's a good enough span to keep up with the new technology and improvements. Somtimes I wait even longer and have waited as much as 12 years between bows.
