If it is worth doing, then it is worth overdoing.

Hunting is a lot like sales; a large part of success is exposure.

When I was shooting my longbow at the shop for the first time, an old-timer saw me struggling and walked over and said this:

"Son, that ain't no gun you're shootin'... Quit tryin' so hard to aim and just feel the shot."

For a "life quote", I've always been partial to this one:

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain."

I was hoping I could find this.....

My wife sent this to me a long time ago....after we'd been married about a year. She said in her email that she'd found the perfect epitaph for me.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with theintention

of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body,

but rather to

SKID in sideways ---- Champagne in one hand ---

Strawberries and chocolate in the other ---

Body thoroughly used up -- Totally worn out ---

and Screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!!"

"To kill a deer, you have to get inside the deers mind. Their brain isn't that big, but I still got a lot of room to roam around in there" - L.P. my friend and a hunting guide.

"Wealth is not measured by the amount of worldy goods you amass here, but by how long and how fondly you are remembered after you are gone." -M.C. when asked by his daughter to define wealth for a school project.

"Respect the man in the mirror and the rest will be easy."

"At the end of the day, only GOD and YOU really know the truth. Can you live with that???"
Both of the tops ones were told to me as a young may growing up, living a less than perfect life. Lots of fighting, was done during those days, but in the end, I still do respect the "Man in the mirror."

Archery - "Aim small, miss small."

"The choices we make, dictate the lives that we lead, to thine ownself be true."
- Shakespeare

Probably the MOST profound would have been when accompanying an Oncologist (Cancer Dr.) in to counsel a patient with cancer......

"You got TWO choices. Those choices aren't Chemo vs. Radiation, Surgery vs. Chemo, they are Living or Dying. You have to decide whether you are going to go on LIVING or go on DYING. Each and every day of our lives we are LIVING
andDYING, but you choose which you do on that day. So are you ready to "Go on LIVING," or "Go on DYING???"

Last one.....

"God wouldn't give you more than you could handle."
