Who's hunting with a target release?
Getting out of 3D.....I sold my Carter Just Cuz.
I regret it, now.
Is anyone hunting with a similar release? If I coud figure out a way to "attach" it to my wrist (nylon cord?).....I'd order another one.
Is this possible?
Thanks.

RE: Who's hunting with a target release?
got a drill and nylon cord with basic knot tying abilities?
I do know they make target releases already attached to a wrist sling, id have to look em up for the names though.

RE: Who's hunting with a target release?
How, Greg? I really wanna use this release.
My fear is dropping it from stand. If I had a way to secure it to my wrist....I'd order another one, tomorrow.
You and I shot the same release (basically). I'm assuming you don't hunt with yours, though. I'd really like to...but the only hole I could see using is the one on the end of the "lock" (whateveryacallthatthing), and the cord would have to be REALLY small.

He just does, Jeff. Stan Potts uses one too. (They may not be Carter Just Cuzs, but they're exact in form and function. I actually think Lee's IS a Carter.)
Shoot Rick James a PM and ask him which one he hunts with; he's posted pics of it before, and I can't recall the model... but it's a thumb-trigger like you're talking about with the crisp sear break like you're looking for but with a cord tying it to a wrist strap.
So basically... someone's already thought of what you're thinking of.
I remember the first time it happened to me in archery... I took a Cranford EZ step, cut off the threads, hada machine shop weld a plate onto that at a 90-degree angle, and then attached my bear quiver holder to that so I could screw it into the tree trunk beside me at waist level. Just when I was thinking of getting my idea patented, I discovered that Kwikee Kwiver had been making their caddies for a long time... [8D]

Couldn't you tie a piece of loop material through that hole in the cocking mechanism and loosely around your wrist?
**Edit**
As far as that goes....I could run the larger cord through the index finger hole, probably.

I believe with the Just Cuz,you wouldn't really want it attached to your wrist.IMO,the release would be too loud when loading along with being a little awkward to load in the moment of truth.
I would think with that release, you would want to leave it attached to the loop, just hanging, then just grab the bow and shoot.Of course, you would still have to get your finger in the hole of the release.
Tru ball makes a wrist strap system for their target releases.
