good reliable flash light
i plan to buy a new flash light the three i bought last year did not make it through my short season.
One a cheap walmart made it a week it was the type with the batter about a 1/3 the size of a car battery.
The other two just broke.
I was thinking a mag light but not sure i like there weight. but i know there reliable.
What do you guys use to walk to your stand with.

RE: good reliable flash light
You can spend much more, but a nice Mini Maglite always does the job for me. With the belt attachment you don't even know it's there, until you need it.

RE: good reliable flash light
I used a mini mag for years. Got tired of always trying to hold it in my teeth when I needed both hands to on my bow rope, put on my harness etc. Now I always use a headlamp. Keeps both hands free and most can switch to use multiple bulbs like LED, red light or flood. The red light works well to not spook game. I can't tell you how many times I had the crap scared out of me because what I thought were reflective tacks turned out to be a pair of eyes from something that let me walk right up to it.
I also always keep a backup ready to go in my pack in case the batteries die.

i thought about them but have had alot of people say not to use them because if you move your head the light moves.
GOt to say another free hand to carry stuff would be nice

RE: good reliable flash light
best advise i have had all week. on one of my mid year bow hunts.
i get to the stop a hour maybe a hour and half get dress spray down head over to the walk in spot. Pull out the flashlight. The thing was when i dropped it in my bucket with my scent binos and so on it got turned on and went dead.
I had to wait until light to walk in and spooked two deer
