Thanks for the compliments guys.
On a side note......... I had put on every piece of clothing that I owned that morning, including my heaviest boots. I was prepared to hang out as long as I could. I was still sweating from the walk in as I was dressing him out! By the time I got him to the field where I could drive my truck up to him, I was literally steaming when I took my coat off.
But those few short minutes were worth every second for the memories and experience that hunt provided.

Great Story, I love hearing the details. Good to see a Mchenry Co. Buck on here. Mchenry Co. hunting spots are hard to come by IMO now. Too many damn houses going up. It's impossible to find anywhere to hunt within 3 hours of Chicago now. Hope you still have that spot and hasn't been turned into Million dollar houses like mine has![:@]
