Default RE: Tarsal scent locations for early bow season..?

We could see 1 buck depositing scent along the edge growth of the timber, on the berries and briars.
Please explain.

I honestly have no idea. I know they have to urinate and deficate.....lol....but I wasn't aware they went to such lengths to do so (at ANY time of the year......the way you're describing they did it).

I'll sit back and listen. Interesting.

DT....

Don't take my reply as anything other than my ignoranceas towhat you saw. I am interested.

Have to ask, though......if he isn't the largest, oldest, etc.....

WHAT makes him so interesting to you v. the others (the larger, older ones)? Why do you want help getting on him above the others?

Perhaps he ate too many berrys and drank too much water. Some times you just have to go. Ya know.
JK

I've scouted a buck displaying similar behavior this season too. But not to that extreme. It may be he's trying to get his "area" mapped out early. Perhaps for fear of the other more dominant bucks in the area. Keep us informed as Jeff said it's very interesting.

We observe deer maybe .001% of their existence....so we can and will witness behaviors that others may not see in their entire hunting career.
