So it appears as though roughly 4% of the respondents to this poll don't use any of the items I listed.
My hat is off to those folks- 'cuz in my book, if they're bowhunting and not using any of those items, they
are surely doing it the hard way!

I consider big woods hunting "the hard way".
I hunt a 15,000 acre piece of low fenced property that is a mix of swamp, hardwoods, praires, pines, and just about everything else you can think of EXCEPT agricultural fields and food plots. It's surrounded by miles and miles of public land on all sides.
Trying to pattern big woods deer is a completely different game than hunting farms where the food sources and bedding areas are obvious. I've done both, and for me it's much harder to hunt the big woods.

Is using a compound bow with an 80% letoff, a peep and 4/5 pin sight w/fiberoptics, a release, carbon/aluminum arrows, 20ft up a tree, etc. really bowhunting the hard way even if you don't use all the other stuff?
How about a recurve/longbow from the ground? Even if you use the other stuff? What do you think would be the harder way?
