I guess some may be wondering why the arrows do not all match. Well I made a promise to my children and wife that I would take the 4 best flying arrows and put their names on them. I will be shooting them all with broadheads and picking out the best 4. At that point they will each get to put their name on the arrow in a discrete location (or small identifying mark). This will allow each animal taken this season to be dedicated to them individually. The different colors only serve to identify each of their diffrence in personalities.

The tooth, well let's just say that was extra.

By the way, thanks for all the compliments guys. I will be doing another half dozen within the week. I am going to shoot for matching patterns this time for my brother's arrows he will be hunting with.

Thanks,

LT

Those look great! What brand/type of white aerosol did you use as a base?

I just get the cheap 96 cents per can stuff from Wal Mart (blue and white can). I really like the flat white better because it seems to hold the paint better. These were done using gloss white though and they turned out ok. I also get the little square foam gray sanding pads that are ultra fine grit, to rough the entire area to be painted. It basically just takes the shiny black coating off the arrow and allows the spray paint to stick really well. I allow 2 to 3 days drying before cresting just to be sure they are dried well.

Hope this helps you.
