State record typical: 191 4/8 inches, taken in Monroe County in 1961.
State record non-typical: 248 4/8 inches, taken in Telfair County in 1998.
State record archery typical: 173 1/8 inches, taken in Morgan County in 1991.
State record archery non-typical: 186 2/8 inches, taken in Jones County in 1973.

I talked to jay about two weeks ago he also took another buck that that grossed in the mid 160`s and netted in the mid 140`s not counting the new Ga state record . " what a season" Bow kill!
Jay Maxwell of Bethlehem, Georgia became the 13th certified member of the Muzzy 200 Club on November 20th, 2007 when he harvested the new Georgia State Archery Record Whitetail Buck in North Fulton County.
The buck’s official Pope & Young score is 234 7/8” gross, and 213 4/8” net. It has 18 scoreable points, two drop tines, and is a mainframe 9-point.
