Default Bow sight pin settings

I use a trophy ridge matrix 3 pin sight with a hind sight. On my previous bow, I set the pins to 20-30-40yds. On my new bow, I am finding that the pins are way too close to see clearly. I am also finding the yellow is tuff to see. I have since dropped the yellow all the way down and only use the green and red. I have set them up to 30 and 40 yds but still have the problem of them being too close. My last thought was to set the green (top) pin for 20 yds and the red to 40 yds. That should give enough of a gap between them to see clearly. Then any shots at about 30 yds would be centered beteen the red and green. I thought about just using one pin but I am still new at this. Any suggestions?

Thanks
