Practice. "We talkin' bout PRACTICE?!"

RE: Practice. "We talkin' bout PRACTICE?!"
I usually have a few complete arrows with broadheads designated for practice only. I carry them to the stand with me and usually shoot a few at leaves and such before I get down. It is great practice. I also have my designated hunting arrow which I have shot at least a few times to make they fly true. I do sharpen (touch up) the heads before hunting though.

I always shoot the arrows, as well as the BH's that are going into the woods with me. I will shoot my practice arrows tipped with FP's until about 2-3 weeks before the start of the season. I then will shoot my hunting arrows and BH's just enough to ensure myself that they fly the same. I put new blades on the BH's and keep shooting my practice arrows from there.

I designate 3-5 broadheads to use only for practice. I designate the same amount for hunting only, thereby preserving the quality/sharpness of the blades.

You just couldn't resist it could you??????
I do shoot heads that WILL go to the woods, and if they are still sharp after a couple run throughs on FOAM, then they don't even get resharpened. If they need resharpened, I re-edge them, and off we go. If you get the one BH taht snuck by QC and it doesn't fly well, then you'll be kicking yourself as you watch that 170" Booner trot away unharmed because the arrow flew crazily off!!!! NO THANKS, I'll stick with what I know.

I shoot the exact broad head/ Arrow combo that will be in the woods with me for this reason:
If you get the one BH that snuck by QC and it doesn't fly well, then you'll be kicking yourself as you watch that deer trot away unharmed because the arrow flew crazily off!!!! NO THANKS, I'll stick with what I know
