Help me pick a hang on stand

RE: Help me pick a hang on stand
It depends on what your wanting to do. Obviously the Lone Wolf is a lighter stand that will be better for "running and gunning" but they are small stands. If your wanting to hang a stand and leave it in the tree, i would probably go with some less expensive. I have a ton of stand sites so i usually hang one cheapo stand and then bring a lone wolf in with me for the camera stand...
Todd, I saw the Muddy guys at a couple shows this year. Looks like they have nice product. They actually aren't too farm from where i live...

The plan for the 3 stands we are going to buy is to set them in a few hot spots we've scouted out and leave them for the duration of the season.

Well if they are staying there all season then weight doesnt really matter too much since you wont be toating it back and forth. I would look for a big comfortable stand...
Not saying the Lone Wolf is comfortable, but there are more comfortable ones out there!

I use a lot of Gorilla and Rivers Edge tree stands. I like to get the big comfortable ones to leave in the tree, then i video out of a lone wolf since we bring it in with us usually.
This Rivers Edge stand is only $100 and is really comfortable...
If you dont want the arm rests and back rest, their other stands are still comforatable...

I stand most of the time while hunting and im still young so i dont worry too much about it. A lot of my stands are ones that i got at Dick's Sporting Goods on sale for $25 after season. They arent the most comfortable or the nicest, but they get the job done!

To bad the time of year you are picking them up. I got a few of the gorilla Kong stands on clearance at Wally world at the end of the season dirt cheap. I am about to pick up a new LoneWolf set though. I don't have one and want to give it a try!
